HERITAGE SEEDS

“heritage seeds…. carry history and tradition with them. The seeds are handed down to the future generation as an asset.”

Watching images of refugees washed up on the beach yet wrapped in rich gold emergency blankets, I was struck by the irony that the people who are the  least valued in the world look like they are encased in the most precious metal. My interest in the potential contained within pods and seeds meshed with my interest in home and homelessness, which  prompted me to see the refugee's boat as a kind of seed pod, full of potential, but needing a home to fulfill that hope.
